Two Moroccan soldiers killed in an attack in Central Africa

NTERNATIONAL – Two soldiers, including an officer, belonging to the contingent of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) of multidimensional Stabilization Mission Nations in Central Africa (MINUSCA) were killed, Tuesday, January 3, in an armed attack by a “Anti Blacka” Christian militia near the town of Bria, northeast of the capital Bangui, reports the Agency MAP.
The incident occurred while the Moroccan peacekeepers in Bria, provided the escort of a convoy of trucks carrying fuel in the town of Zemio destined to Obo, said MINUSCA in a statement. Another soldier was wounded according to the MAP, two according to the UN mission.
The authors of the attack, who have not been identified, fled into the Bush.
“No claim won’t justify that individuals moving their grievances against peacekeepers whose presence on Central African soil has no other goal than to help the country out of the spiral of violence,” warned the special representative of the Secretary-General and head of the MINUSCA, perfect Onanga-Anyanga.
“Everything will be implemented to track down and get in on the perpetrators of these attacks so that they are brought to justice”, he assured.
