Kurtulmus: “the closure of the mosque Al-Aqsa by Israel is unacceptable”
“It’s a crime against humanity, a crime against the freedom of religion” he declared
The turkish Deputy Prime Minister and the Government spokesman, Numan Kurtulmus, stated that the closure of the mosque Al-Aqsa by Israel was a decision unacceptable and extremely hurtful. Numan Kurtulmus held a press conference following the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Recalling that the three Holy places of islam are in Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem, Mr. Kurtulmus stressed that the mosque Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is the first qiblah Muslims and one of the three great mosques.
“Since the wars of 1967, the mosque Al-Aqsa has never been closed, and the Friday prayers were never disrupted. Therefore, the application of this decision in such an environment while Israel evokes one side peace is unacceptable. It is a crime against humanity, a crime against the freedom of religion, “he said. Three young Palestinians were killed, Friday, by occupying Israeli police in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, the mosque was closed to worship under the pretext of terrorism.
